Verdensdagen for psykisk helse (World Mental Health Day)

October 10th is the World Mental Health Day (Verdensdagen for psykisk helse), and it is important to raise awareness of mental health and strengthen resilience in our workplaces.

Early-career researchers often face high levels of stress and job insecurity, and it is crucial for academia to acknowledge the challenges and create supportive environments.

DION set up stands together with safety representatives at NTNU, Sit, Fontenehuset Trondheim, and Studenttingets at the Gløshuagen and Dragvoll campus today. Together, we aim to foster the openness, care, and support for the wellbeing of all who work and study at NTNU.

Cold-Water Bathing for Stress Relief and Winter Wellness

On October 5th, we organized a refreshing cold water bathing event. It was a perfect mix of nature, connection, and courage, and a great way to welcome the new season together.

After a warm-up in the forest with beautiful autumn colors, participants took a brave dip in the cold water, followed by delicious cappuccinos and cozy conversations.

The event was organized and hosted by DION and Natalya Amirova (volunteer). Her guidance made this wonderful afternoon possible. Thank you for leading us through such an energizing and mindful experience.

DION & NTNU’s Occupational Health Service: Work and Mental Health Seminar

Today we wrapped up DION’s Work & Mental Health seminar, organized in collaboration with NTNU’s Occupational Health Service.

A big thank you to Tanja Lenita Klemets for leading an open and insightful conversation on the realities of being a temporary research employee at NTNU, it covers mental and psychosocial health, as well as when and where to seek support.

Thanks to everyone who joined us! If you couldn’t attend, feel free to reach out to DION for seminar materials.
